Experience
- Jacqueline Ming Liu, M.D. is a distinguished hematologist, oncologist, and biopharmaceutical executive with four decades of global clinical and industrial experience spanning translational research and multi-regional clinical trial execution. She currently operates as an independent medical consultant for cell therapies, TKI and HDAC inhibitors, and GVHD prophylaxis.
- Dr. Liu previously served as Chief Medical Officer for BioDLink International (Formerly TOT BIOPHARM) from 2017 to 2021, where she managed the medical, clinical operations, and pharmacovigilance divisions. In this role, she successfully led several assets from initiation to trial completion, including securing MFDS registrations for a biosimilar bevacizumab and a generic temozolomide, while directing regulatory strategy with the US FDA, EMA, and NMPA.
- Prior to TOT BIOPHARM, Dr. Liu was the Clinical Lead (China, Taiwan, Korea) at BeiGene from 2016 to 2017, supervising Phase 1–3 trials for blockbuster oncology assets like zanubrutinib and tislelizumab. From 2007 to 2016, she served as Medical Consultant and Director of the Oncology Translational Research Center at TTY Biopharm, managing a specialized biomarker laboratory.
- Her distinguished background includes over 15 years as a leading clinical and research physician affiliated with the National Health Research Institutes and Academia Sinica's Institute of Biomedical Sciences. During this tenure, she directed a specialized biomarker laboratory focusing on molecular targets and translational oncology strategies for breast, thymic, and solid tumor malignancies.
- An active contributor to the biotech ecosystem, Dr. Liu has served as a consultant reviewer for Taiwan's Development Center for Biotechnology (DCB) and the Executive Yuan's National Science Council. She holds dual patents in mainland China and Taiwan for innovative biomarker combinations and has authored over 70 SCI-indexed publications.
Academic Background
- Dr. Liu earned her medical degree from the University of the Witwatersrand Medical School in South Africa, completed her Hematology/Oncology fellowship at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, and is board-certified in Taiwan.
